Really feeling the October vibes right now!…but we all know that means something different in California. It is 78 degrees outside as I write this article. Nonetheless, I like to dress up a little so that I can trick myself that it is indeed a different season than summer and that it’s okay to drink hot coffee and stay in and watch Netflix.
For this look, I opted for a silky pastel pink dress and a matching scarf! I’m being really inspired by all of the matching sets this season and I will be adding a couple more to my closet. I was originally going to wear this dress with a black choker, but as soon as I tried the scarf on, I couldn’t take it off. I chose to wear black over-the-knee boots so that they could make a stark contrast to the soft pink hue of my dress.
I used the Anastasia matte liquid lipstick in Pure Hollywood. I basically wear this color everyday when I am at work or running errands because its a really nice pink nude. I am also using the Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette for my eyes. I am not super big on eyeshadow but I LOVE this palette. There are a bajillion ways to blend the colors, but I usually just stick to wearing Golden Ochre on my whole lid and then blending in Raw Sienna and Burnt Orange on my crease. Sometimes, when I go out and I’m feeling a little daring, I’ll add Venetian Red to the mix. For a softer look, I’ll dab a little of the Warm Taupe to the middle part of my lid. Let me know if you guys know of any cool color combinations that I should try! I’m still experimenting with it!
Halloween is right around the corner! Who are you guys dressing up as this year? I will be attending a Tim Burton themed party so I’m still thinking about my costume! I’m trying to convince my boyfriend to dress up as Ichabod Crane from Sleepy Hollow, so that I can be his Katrina Van Tassel. He was talking about being Behemoth from Nightmare Before Christmas (rolls eyes) so we’ll see if I can win this battle! Haha
Thank you guys so much for reading! I hope you guys enjoyed this post!
